KyberGate uses simple per-device, per-year pricing — just like a textbook subscription. A 'device' is any iPad, Chromebook, Windows PC, or Mac enrolled in your KyberGate organization. Pricing is based on your total device count and plan tier.
What makes KyberGate different from other web filters?
KyberGate bundles web filtering, student safety monitoring, and AI controls into a single platform. Most competitors charge separately for each module. What billing options are available?
We bill annually, aligned to your school fiscal year (typically July 1 – June 30). We also offer multi-year discounts: 10% off for 2-year and 15% off for 3-year commitments.
Can I use E-Rate funding?
Yes! KyberGate qualifies for E-Rate Category 2 funding (USAC SPIN: 143055219). Schools can receive 20-90% discounts depending on poverty level. At 90% E-Rate, our Pro plan costs just $0.65/device/year. See our E-Rate guide for details.
Do I need any hardware?
No. KyberGate is 100% cloud-based. Traffic routes through our secure proxy via PAC auto-configuration. No on-prem appliance needed. We support iPad (MDM proxy), Chromebook (extension), Windows (system agent), and Mac (menu bar agent).
What platforms are supported?
All four major K-12 platforms: iPad, Chromebook, Windows, and Mac. All use the same cloud proxy architecture and share a single admin dashboard. One license covers any device type.
Is KyberGate CIPA compliant?
Yes. KyberGate meets all Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requirements including content filtering, visual monitoring, and internet safety policy enforcement — required for E-Rate eligibility.
