Device connects

MDM pushes a PAC file to each device. The PAC file tells the OS where to route all web traffic.

STEP 2

Nearest proxy selected

Based on the school's timezone and state, the PAC file lists the closest proxy first with the others as automatic backups.

Auto-failover

If the primary proxy is unreachable, the device switches to the backup within seconds. No manual intervention needed.
